The largest hunting and fishing exposition in Europe takes place in Dortmund, Germany, and the trophies displayed in the Bulgarian booth were once again the object of strong interest by the hunters. ‘Bulgaria offers a high-quality product and is a strong competitor on the European markets with its opportunities for hunting events for red deer, wild boar, as well as all other large game species.’ These were the words of the Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Food, and Forests, Atanas Dobrev, at the opening of the Bulgarian booth.
This was the 38th edition of the exposition and this year’s participants were more than 800. More and more Bulgarian companies seem to want to participate with an individual booth in this event. Apart from the participants, there appear to be many more Bulgarians among the visitors of Jagd and Hund as well.
The visitors of Jagd and Hund for this year were expected to be around 80,000.
This time one of the great attractions was the portable restaurant in which we turned our booth. We cooked some special dishes on site which every one of the visitors could taste, and all of them were prepared by Bulgaria’s best cook, Uti Bachvarov. The specialties included game meat goulash, and a number of authentic deli mates of the Madzharov Brand. To boost the spirits of the guests even further, our booth offered Bulgarian Almus Beer and Bulgarian wine made by Bononia Estate and Karabunar.
